Jamie's Farm 2026

Mud, Wellies, and Happy Smiles: Our Trip to Jamie’s Farm!
12 of our Year 5 and Year 6 children have just come back from a big adventure. From Monday 26th to Friday 30th January, they went away to stay at Jamie’s Farm in Monmouth, Wales. They swapped their school uniform for old clothes and wellly boots!
It was a week with no phones and no tablets. It was a week for hard work, good food, and making new friends.
A Day on the Farm
Life on the farm is very busy. The children had to wake up early every morning.
Before they had their own breakfast, they had to feed the animals. The pigs were always very hungry! The children also learnt how to look after the sheep, cows, and chickens.
During the day, there were lots of jobs to do. The children worked together in teams.
- Some teams helped in the garden, digging potatoes and picking vegetables.
- Some teams chopped wood to keep the fires warm.
- Some teams helped in the kitchen. They cooked a big, healthy lunch for everyone using food from the farm.
It was hard work, but lots of fun. The fresh air made everyone feel good.
In the evening, after a tasty dinner, everyone was tired but happy. They played games together, talked about their day, and sat by the cosy fire. It felt like one big family.
We are so proud of every single child. Farm life is hard work, but they all got stuck in with big smiles. They were kind, helpful, and worked brilliantly as a team. Well done everyone!
The children came back to school on Friday with muddy boots and wonderful memories. What a fantastic week!
