Our New Pupil Leadership Ambassadors

Leading the Way: Meet Our New Pupil Ambassadors

At Woodlands, we believe that every child has the potential to be a leader. This half-term, we are so proud to announce the launch of our new Pupil Leadership Ambassador roles for our Year 5 and Year 6 children.

Becoming an ambassador isn't just about picking a title. Our pupils had to think carefully about their strengths and submit an application for the role they felt most passionate about. These children were chosen because they showed a real desire to support their friends and make our school the best it can be.

We have a fantastic team ready to get started:

  • Positive Play Ambassadors: Making sure play and lunchtimes are fun and helping everyone find a friend to play with.
  • Reading Ambassadors: Sharing their favourite stories and helping others discover a love for books.
  • Eco Ambassadors: Looking after our environment and finding ways to make Woodlands even greener.
  • Welcome Ambassadors: Giving a friendly 'hello' to visitors and helping new pupils settle into our community.
  • Wellbeing Ambassadors: Being a kind ear and supporting the health of everyone in school.
  • Sports Ambassadors: Showing great teamwork and being role models for fair play on the pitch.

These roles give our older pupils a chance to give back to the school they love. It helps them build confidence and learn skills that will stay with them long after they leave us.

"At Woodlands, pupil voice is at the heart of what we do," says Mr Trower, Deputy Headteacher. "Giving our children the chance to dedicate themselves to these roles allows them to take real ownership of their school. It is wonderful to see them so committed to supporting one another."

We can't wait to see the positive changes our new leaders will bring to our academy!
