Uniform Update | 10th March 2026

Our uniform plays a vital role in fostering a sense of belonging.
Dear Parents and Carers,
At Co-op Academy Woodlands, we take great pride in our school community. Our uniform plays a vital role in fostering a sense of belonging, equality, and readiness to learn. It ensures that all children, regardless of background, feel part of the same team.
Recently, we have noticed some children coming to school in items that are not part of our uniform. We would like to kindly ask for your help in making sure your child arrives in the correct academy colours, the right shoes, and without any extra accessories.
Our Uniform Expectations
To help us maintain our high standards, please ensure your child follows these guidelines:
-
Main Uniform: Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan (preferably with the Academy logo), white polo shirt, and grey trousers, skirt, or pinafore and headscarves/Hijab in navy, blue, black or grey
-
Footwear: Plain black, sensible shoes.
-
Jewellery: For safety reasons, only small, plain stud earrings are allowed, and these must be removed or covered for PE.
The "Not at School" List
To avoid any awkward conversations at the classroom door, please remember these items should stay at home:
-
Nails: No acrylics, gel extensions, or brightly coloured nail polish.
-
Makeup: No makeup or temporary tattoos.
-
Jewellery: No necklaces or bracelets. Small, plain studs only.
-
Hair: No extreme styles or large, oversized hair accessories (e.g., giant "JoJo" bows).
We know that children often want to try out new trends, but we ask that you please keep things like false nails, jewellery, and coloured hair for the school holidays. Our priority is always to keep your children safe and focused on their learning.
If you have any questions or need help getting any uniform items, please just come and speak to the school office. We are happy to help!
Warm regards,
Mrs Clark
