Dear Families,

We are entering a very exciting and busy time at Woodlands as we celebrate all the fantastic learning and achievements of our children.

Being in school every day matters. Children learn best when they are here on time, ready to enjoy the day. If you ever have any worries or questions about your child, please speak to a member of our team. We are always here to help.

Please take a look at the important dates below and save them in your diary.

💼 World of Work Week

Week Commencing Monday 30th June
Children will explore different jobs, careers and what they might want to do in the future. Visitors from a range of professions will be coming in to speak to the children.

🌟 My Future Day

Friday 4th July
Children can dress up as what they would like to be when they grow up – whether it’s a vet, footballer, chef or artist! A fun way to celebrate their dreams and goals.

🏃 Sports Days

Come and cheer on your child as they take part in their sports day. All events are on the school field. Please make sure your child brings a sun hat.

  • Monday 7th July – NDA Sports Day (Nursery) at 2:15pm

  • Tuesday 8th July – R, Y1, Y2 Sports Day at 9:30am

  • Tuesday 8th July – Y3, Y4, Y5 Sports Day at 1:30pm

  • Thursday 10th July – NPO Sports Day (Nursery) at 9:30am

  • Monday 14th July – Y6 Sports Day at 1:30pm

🎉 School Discos

Children can enjoy dancing, games and treats with their friends. Pick up is from our hall at 4:15 pm. 

  • Tuesday 15th July – Reception, Y1, Y2 & Y3 Disco at 3:30pm

  • Thursday 17th July – Y4, Y5 & Y6 Disco at 3:30pm

We will send out letters next week about our discos and how to get tickets!

🎭 Year 6 Performances

Come and see our amazing Year 6 children perform their end-of-year show. Families are welcome! Collect your tickets from our main office. 

  • Wednesday 16th July – Performance 1 at 1:45pm

  • Thursday 17th July – Performance 2 at 9:30am

🎓 Leavers' Assembly

Friday 18th July – 9:30am
A special goodbye to our Year 6 children as they finish their time at Woodlands. Families are invited to join us for this emotional and proud celebration.
