Welcome Back!⭐

It's so wonderful to welcome you all back to school! We hope you had a lovely summer break. Our team have been busy getting the classrooms ready, and we've had a fantastic first few days with our children. We are so excited for the year ahead and so proud to have you as part of #TeamWoodlands!

We've got lots of exciting events taking place this year! You can find all of these dates on our school calendar.

Getting to Know Your Child's Teacher🧑‍🏫

Your child's teacher is always here to help. If you have any worries or questions about your child, please speak to them. You can catch them at the end of the school day for a quick chat. For longer conversations, you can call the school office to make an appointment.

We would love for you to join us for our Meet the Teacher event on Wednesday 17th September at 3:30 p.m. This is a great chance to meet your child's new teacher, see their classroom and learn more about the year ahead.

Our School Day🗓️

Our school day has new times this year: 8:40 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. It is very important that your child is on time for school every day. Being on time helps them get ready for the day and not miss any important learning.

School Uniform👍

Wearing the correct uniform is a big part of being ready to learn. It helps children feel part of the school community and makes sure they are dressed for a day of learning. Please make sure your child wears the right uniform every day.

The uniform includes:

  • A school jumper or cardigan

  • A white polo shirt or shirt

  • Grey or black trousers, shorts, or a skirt

  • Black school shoes (not trainers)

If you need help with getting uniform, please come and talk to us. We are here to support you.

Please make sure all your child's items are clearly labelled with their name. We are happy to do this with you in school!

Keeping Children Safe⚠️

To keep all our children safe, a grown-up (over the age of 18) must bring your child to school and collect them at the end of the day. This helps us know that every child is safe with a trusted adult.

If you need to make other plans for drop-off or pick-up, please talk to the school office. We can work with you to find a solution that works for everyone.
