Y1 Visit Cannon Hall Farm

A Day at Cannon Hall Farm
On Wednesday 10th September, Year 1 visited Cannon Hall Farm!
When they arrived, the first thing they saw were some fluffy Llamas! The children also saw some friendly pigs rolling in the mud and some noisy chickens pecking at the ground. It was so much fun for them to see all the different animals up close. The children were very calm and gentle with all the animals and they remembered to be quiet near them too.
After visiting the animals, they went to the big adventure playgrounds. There were slides, swings, and climbing frames. They all played together as a team, taking turns and helping their friends. If someone needed a push on the swing, another child was there to help!
The children were all so happy and well-behaved; the farm staff were amazed! Mrs Richely, our assistant headteacher, said, "It was a truly fantastic day out. The children were a credit to the school and their families."
They all had a yummy lunch together, which was kindly paid for by the Yorkshire Children's Charity. The school wants to say a big thank you to them for making this special day happen. We'd also like to say a massive thank you to all the parents and family members who came along for the day too!
One of our children said, "My favourite part was seeing the little pigs. They were so funny!"
The children all went home with big smiles on their faces and great memories. It was a wonderful day out for Year 1.
