Y2 Visit Piglets Farm

On 12th June, Year 2 set off on an exciting adventure to Piglets Adventure Farm as part of their geography topic: Coasts, Caves and Countrysides.

When they arrived, there was so much to explore! The day began with meeting and petting the animals, from fluffy rabbits to friendly goats. The children learned how to care for the animals and discovered what they eat and where they live. There were lots of questions and even more smiles!

Next, Year 2 went on a magical journey through the forest trail, where they discovered hidden trolls and fairies. With careful eyes and curious minds, they tiptoed along the winding paths, finding fairy doors in trees and spotting cheeky trolls under logs.

After that, it was time for some seaside fun! The children built sandcastles on the beach, working together to make moats, towers and even pretend ice cream shops. Some said it felt just like being at the coast!

In the afternoon, they headed to the play barn where they let off steam with slides, climbing frames and lots of laughter. It was the perfect way to end the day.

This brilliant trip helped bring their geography topic to life. Year 2 have now seen real-life examples of both the countryside and coastal features, ready to explore more in class. What a fantastic day of adventure, discovery and fun!
