Woodlands Earns Two Awards for Preparing Pupils for the Future!
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Co-op Academy Woodlands has been awarded two prestigious national accreditations for our careers and aspirations programme: the Skills Builder Silver Award and the Career Connect Quality in Careers Standard.
These awards recognise the hard work and dedication of our staff, who work every day to widen horizons, raise aspirations and prepare our children for bright futures.
So, what do these awards mean for our pupils?
-
The Skills Builder Silver Award highlights how well we teach essential lifelong skills, like teamwork, problem-solving and leadership.
-
The Career Connect Quality in Careers Standard shows that our careers learning meets the very highest national standards, giving our children real-world experiences and insights into future possibilities.
At Woodlands, we believe that learning about the world of work shouldn't wait until secondary school. Preparing children for their future is a key part of our school intent statement; we want to help every single pupil succeed in life, not just in school. By connecting what children learn in the classroom to real future careers, we help them discover their talents, build confidence, and realise that anyone from any background can achieve their dreams.
Mr Trower, Deputy Headteacher, shared his pride in the achievement:
"We are immensely proud to receive these awards. Raising aspirations for our children is at the heart of everything we do at Woodlands. These accreditations reflect the dedication of our entire team, who work hard to ensure our pupils leave us with the confidence, skills, and ambition to thrive in whatever path they choose."
Thank you to our amazing staff, our brilliant pupils, and our supportive families who help make our Woodlands community so special!
