Welcome to this week's Woodlands Weekly

First and foremost, a huge thank you for your incredible cooperation and support during this recent warm weather. We know the heat can make the morning routine a little trickier, but you’ve done an amazing job ensuring the children are arriving refreshed and ready to learn every single day!

We have had a fantastic week across the school, with some absolutely brilliant learning taking place in every classroom. The children's energy and focus have been wonderful to see.

Looking Ahead: Don't Miss Out! πŸ“†

We have loads of exciting events coming up as we move through the term, so please make sure to keep a close eye on the school calendar so you don't miss a thing!

To make sure your child gets the absolute most out of everything we have planned, we need them here every day being Attendance HEROes:

  • Here

  • Every day

  • Ready

  • On time

There is so much fun and learning ahead that they definitely won't want to miss out!

Here to Help 🀝

As always, we value our partnership with you. If you ever have any questions, queries, or concerns about your child, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can speak directly with their teacher on the doors at drop-off/pick-up, or give the main office a call to book a dedicated appointment. We are always happy to help!

Thank you for your continued support.

πŸš€ World of Work Week at Woodlands!

Next week is World of Work Week! We have lots of exciting visitors coming into school to talk to the children about different jobs and big dreams for the future.

🌟 'My Future Day' – Friday

Friday is our 'My Future Day'. Please note: Children do not need to dress up this year. Please wear normal school uniform. The children will meet their new teachers for next year on this day!

We can't wait to share what we get up to with you!

Our Skills Builder skill for this half-term is Adapting. This helps children get ready for the big change of moving into their new year groups next year!

🌟 The Challenge: The Routine Swap

Can your family adapt when things change? Choose one fun swap to try today:

The Dinner Swap: Eat dinner using your opposite hand.

The Shoe Switch: Wear your shoes on the wrong feet for 10 minutes.

The Wacky Walk: Walk backward whenever you are in the kitchen.

πŸ’¬ Talk About It

Ask your child:

"Was that tricky? How did you change what you did to make it work?"

Why it matters: Moving to a new classroom means trying new things. This quick game helps your child practice being flexible and ready for change!
